Your First Beat:
After setting up your drum kit, if this really is the first time you have ever played a drum kit properly, then the next important thing to learn is your first beat. This video provides a tutorial on the most simple beat for beginers. Generally, any drum teacher will teach you this beat, in this way in your first lesson. So if you are planning taking up drum lessons with your new kit then why not be one step ahead.
Basic Drum Fills:
Once you have mastered the basic drum beat (and there may be other beats your drum teacher has taught you), another important thing to learn is basic fills.
